Reservations booked directly through The Luce may be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival. After that, 1 night room and tax applies. Reservations made through third-party websites are subject to the cancellation policy selected at the time of booking. Booking directly through The Luce offers the greatest flexibility if your plans change.
Sunset Social is The Luce's nightly sunset gathering on St. Pete Beach. Beginning one hour before sunset, guests come together for cocktails, mocktails, music and a countdown toast as the sun sets over the Gulf of Mexico. It's open to hotel guests and locals alike, and no two sunsets are ever the same.
The Luce offers two dining experiences. Sundrop is the hotel's signature restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a menu inspired by Florida's Gulf Coast, alongside craft cocktails. Guests can also join the Sundrop Rum Tasting every Wednesday and Friday at 3:00 PM. Opening in fall 2026, Baby Turtle Beach Club will offer casual beachfront dining, tropical drinks and poolside service just steps from the sand.
The Luce sits directly on St. Pete Beach and offers everything you need to enjoy the Gulf. Guests have access to lay down paddleboard rentals, bike rentals, beach chairs, umbrellas, lawn games, and weekly wellness programming, including yoga. Bikes, lay down paddleboards, and beach setups for two are included in the daily destination fee, making it easy to spend the day outside without planning ahead.
Yes. Locals are welcome to enjoy The Luce without staying overnight. Sundrop and the nightly Sunset Social are open to the public, and pool and beach day passes are available through ResortPass. When Baby Turtle Beach Club opens in fall 2026, it will become another place for both visitors and locals to gather by the beach. The Luce has been part of St. Pete Beach for generations, and we want it to remain a place where both visitors and locals feel at home.
The Luce supports sea turtle conservation on St. Pete Beach and helps protect the nesting sites located along its beachfront. During nesting season, guests will see protected nests marked along the shoreline as sea turtles return each year to lay their eggs. Every stay helps support these conservation efforts while preserving one of Florida's most important coastal habitats.
